Why Join the Community
We believe that the best adventures happen when shared. The Ati Community is a space where outdoor lovers can meet, build friendships, and experience the magic of Atitlán together. Every activity is designed to inspire awe, spark connection, and leave a lasting positive footprint on the region

From kayaking across sunrise waters to hiking hidden trails and scaling volcanic rock, the ATI Community hosts regular adventures for every season and skill level.

Hike to Mirador Chuwi Kortel in Santa Cruz La Laguna
July 19, 2026
Meet us at the Ati Adventures Center in Panajachel for a coffee and a quick trip briefing, then we’ll head to Tzanjuyú Dock and cross the lake by boat to Santa Cruz La Laguna. From the shore we’ll gear up and hike for about two hours up the valley to Mirador Chuwi Kortel—Santa Cruz’s newest viewpoint—with sweeping views of Lake Atitlán, the surrounding mountains, and the town below. At the top, enjoy a hearty burrito-style breakfast, then descend back to the lake for a refreshing swim before returning by boat to Panajachel.
Short Waterfall Hike & Ceramics Painting Workshop
August 8, 2026
Spend a day blending nature, culture, and art on a community adventure to San Antonio Palopó. We’ll meet at the Ati Adventures Center in Panajachel for a quick briefing, then travel to San Antonio to begin a short, easy 30‑minute walk up through the town and its beautiful terraces to a peaceful waterfall. After enjoying the fresh air and views, we’ll head back to a traditional ceramics workshop, where you’ll learn about local pottery-making and paint your own ceramic cup. We’ll wrap up with time to browse the workshop before returning to Panajachel.
Sunrise Lake Crossing Adventure (Santa Cruz → Santiago)
September 19, 2026
Start at first light and paddle across Lake Atitlán from Santa Cruz to the Bay of Santiago. This 14 km lake crossing is designed for paddle boarders looking for a challenge and a one‑of‑a‑kind way to experience Atitlán. After meeting at Tzanjuyú Docks in Panajachel, we’ll take a boat to Santa Cruz, enjoy a coffee and small snack, get a quick skills + safety briefing, then head out for a 3+ hour paddle toward Santiago. When we arrive, we’ll celebrate with breakfast at Hotel Bambu, and then return to Santa Cruz by private boat (we do not paddle back).
Why Ati Adventures
Adventure with Purpose
See Why
We craft experiences that are as meaningful as they are thrilling. Whether you're summiting a volcano or hiking through ancestral forests, our trips are curated to spark curiosity, reflection, and respect for the land.
Conservation Through Regenerative Travel
See Why
We believe adventure should give back. Every ATI tour directly supports the protection of Atitlán’s natural parks, ecosystems, and watersheds. We plant trees, partner with municipalities and NGOs, and host community events that invite locals to explore their own landscapes — ensuring tourism restores, not depletes, this fragile region.
Locally Owned & Community Powered
See Why
ATI Adventures is a locally owned, registered business rooted in Lake Atitlán. Our founders have over 30 years of combined guiding experience, and our local guides bring cultural insight, deep knowledge of the land, and a commitment to keeping tourism benefits in the community.
Safety in Every Step
See Why
From meticulous route planning to high-quality gear and trained first-aid responders, we make sure every detail is in place so you can focus on the adventure, not the risks.
