Itinerary
6:00am: We meet at Hotel Bambu in Santiago Atitlan (we can arrange to pick you up somewhere else in Santiago Atitlan). The trail starts from here.
6:30am-12:30pm: We begin the 5 to 6 hour hike. The Toliman trail is a long, well maintained path that very gradually gets steeper as we get closer to the summit. We will make several stops along the way. The first hour or two of the trail is through maze and coffee plantations and it can be a little exposed to the sun, so don’t forget your hat, sunscreen sunglasses and buff to protect yourself
12:30pm-1:00pm: We enjoy the amazing views from the first summit, while we enjoy a warm coffee, tea or chocolate and our lunch.
1:00pm-1:30pm: We hike for another 30 min towards the second summit to witness an amazing collapsed crater.
2:00pm – 5:00pm: We begin to descend on a 4 hour hike back to Hotel Bambu in Santiago Atitlan and the end of our adventure.
