Our Story

Cofounders and Adventure Leaders

Originally from the Atitlán area, the co-founders of ATI Adventures, Daniel Secaira, Marcelino Secaira, and Kyle Weinstein, grew up inspired by the people, culture, and their years of adventures and exploration around Lake Atitlán.

After several years of working in the region’s tourism industry, they realized the immense positive impact that adventure tourism could have on the environment and local communities.

This motivated them to create a business with the vision of prioritizing, conserving, and developing the well-being of the environment and local communities through authentic adventures

With his passion for a vibrant and sustainable Atitlán region, Daniel inspires the community and all those who visit to admire the beauty of the region.

Marcelino Secaira

This motivated him to earn a Bachelor’s degree in  Geography Environment and Sustainability from the University of British Columbia, Canada, where he developed a deeper understanding of the human relationship with nature.

Upon returning to Guatemala, he became the lead guide and manager of a travel agency at Lake Atitlán. His passion for climbing, combined with his creativity for outdoor activities, makes Marcelino the perfect person to share adrenaline-filled experiences. Without a doubt, Marcelino is constantly seeking ways to push the boundaries of adventure.
