Itinerary
6:00am: we pick you up from your hotel or anywhere in Santiago Atitlan to make way to the trailhead. We will be riding in the back of a pick up truck, so make sure to wear your warm jacket for this 15-20min ride.
6:30am-11:30am/12:00pm: We begin the 5 to 6 hour hike. Most of the trail is on a well maintained path and it will get steeper as we get closer to the summit. We will make several stops along the way. Once we get to the final hour of the hike, the trail will get a little more technical, with sharp volcanic rock and a little exposed to the sun and elements.
12:00pm-1:00pm: We enjoy the amazing views, while having our delicious lunch and a warm coffee or tea.
1:15 pm – 4:15pm: We begin to descend on a 3 hour hike back to the trailhead where our pick up truck will be to take us back to Santiago Atitlan and the end of our adventure.
